Fourth Shoot: London Zoo
The animals at London Zoo all looked as if they were extremely unhappy and bored of their surroundings. Considering the bad weather and school hours, there was a contuinous stream of people at every enclosure. Their enclosures were simple and they had limited space to roam as they would in the wild.

Third Shoot: Plantasia
In amidst the weird and wonderful plants inside Plantasia, there is also a small selection of animals for visitors. The cages they are in are small, though measures to recreate their tropical environment have been attempted, and you can see how being in captivity has affected them, especially in the monkeys.

Second Shoot: Trentham Monkey Forest
I was surprised to see how much land these monkeys had to roam around, but again the horrible weather brought out a sadness in them and because of continuous human interaction, they were unnatually calm and tame.

First Shoot: West Midlands Safari Park
Although these animals have space to move around in, it's still not big enough to immitate the terrain they would roam in the wild. The bad weather also shows how inconsiderate these parks can be as the animals all want to shelter inside but are stuck outside in the rain and cold.

Intorduction to 'Caged' - FMP
For my self-assigned Final Major Project entitled 'Caged', I chose to look at animals in captivity and the negative associations. Using the medium of photography, I have tried to capture these caged animals in a way that gives them 'human-like' emotion which the viewer can empathise with.
